that has been happening for at least 300 years]
and we have only known each other for one year
and ten months, and twenty nine days
but when i see the back of your hand
a map of constellations i have studied with the intensity
of a scientist, of a doctor
i feel a certainty sunk into the dark of my heart
that somehow understands all things perfectly
even the mysteries of space
[a thimbleful of a neutron star
would weigh over 100 million tons]
