Hands

//

Hands compose miracles.
Hands coexist with clay in the pottery pit.
Hands are beyond the language of indecision,
the ticking of fat-encrusted hearts,
the fragments and scents of evenings past.
Bare hands gouge out the dirt under the fingernails,
scoop a handful of mankind, a dirge to the flesh.
