Shelby Dale DeWeese

Shelby Dale DeWeese grew up on a farm in the southeast United States, but currently lives and writes in California. She earned her MFA from the University of San Francisco, and her poems have appeared in publications including Rag Queen Periodical, Jet Fuel Review, and Rust + Moth. She currently lends her editorial and social media expertise to Pinwheel, Frontier Poetry, and Teen Ink Magazine. When she's not writing and editing, she and a former pirate captain encourage elementary school students to write original stories at 826 Valencia. She can be found online at shelbydaledeweese.com.
